{Lyndsey and David}

Lyndsey contacted me and asked if I would shoot her engagement portraits...of course I jumped at the chance!
I worked with her for about a year and every time we were in the same room we would just go about our work chatting the WHOLE time! She has some of the most entertaining stories I have ever heard and she has this way of sucking you right into them.
You can see the love she has for her fiancee as soon as he walks near her. One of the individual shots I took of her showcases that perfectly! I am so excited and happy for them as their wedding date draws near! Congrats you two! Best of wishes!

What are you thankful for?

Another Thanksgiving has come and gone and it took my skinny jeans and self confidence with it, lol. All joking aside (at least I think it was a joke =/ ...) I want to take the time to thank my amazing family! We have had a rough year you guys and I am thankful that we have survived it! You mean more to me than I could ever express so I'm not even going to try. Thanks for another amazing year! Love you guys bunches!

Here are 5 things that I am thankful for in 2011:

1) Health. My family has had a rough go of things in the last year but every single day I thank the Lord that my mom, even though she is sick, still has great health despite the cancer she is fighting every single day!

2) My boyfriend. Without getting too sentimental and causing extreme nausea amongst my readers I will only say this. Thank you for being so understanding and supportive when I needed you most!

3) Job opportunities! This year has been such a fulfilling year for me. I have two amazing jobs that put a smile on my face every single day! Not too many people can say that.

4) My nephews. They crack me up like no one else can and brighten days that are sometimes really difficult and cloudy. I love you Buster and Nilly!

5) The rest of my family! You know who you are! You guys are the best and I wouldn't trade you for the world!

Here are a few captures from my Thanksgiving festivities! Love you all!

                                      Someone's ready for some sales!

My sweet Paw-Paw! Eating so much food and watching so much football really is exhausting! =)

Can't forget the other best part of Thanksgiving...

Yummo!

The forgotten ones...

With the amount of pictures that I take on a weekly basis I am never surprised when I rediscover some. I will be sitting at my little computer nook, looking through albums on my computer (that I really need to backup...ugh) and stumble upon photos that I have completely forgotten about, the poor things.
Here are a couple that I rediscovered today and thought I would share them with you! *smile*

Family Fun!

My Uncle is in town today!! Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago with HUGE families on both sides I was constantly surrounded by aunts, uncles, cousins and the world's greatest grandparents! When my family moved to North Carolina 16 years ago (yikes!) we left behind sooo many loved ones. I truly cherish the times that we can all get together and I have been blessed in the last couple of months to get visits from an aunt on my dad's side (with new husband in tow!) and my uncle on my mom's side. Aside from my spiritual life, family has always been and always will be the most important thing to me! Thanks Uncle Billy for taking some time to visit your "down south family". Love you loads!!

I also want to thank Aunt Fran and Uncle Steve for visiting with us last month! It was amazing! Love you guys loads too!

Photo of the day

Meet adorable Madalyn! I keep her in the mornings before preschool starts and I have to tell you she is one of the most entertaining children I have the pleasure of knowing! Thanks for brightening my mornings "Edmund"!

Flip flops in November...

It was 72 degrees here in Shelby, NC this afternoon and with the warmer weather came flip flops and t-shirts that had previously been shoved to the back of my closet. My little ones in the preschool (where I work) were incredibly excited to spend some time on the playground coat and hood free! That makes for some happy kids (and happy teachers)! I love days like these in November!
The warmer temperature also made me miss Summer beach days. So, I thought I would take a little trip down memory lane with my newest post! Here are some of my favorites from my families last beach trip of 2011 in Myrtle Beach, SC! Enjoy!! *smile*
